Mahindra XEV 9S to Make Nepal Debut at NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026

Mahindra is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup in Nepal with the debut of the XEV 9S at the upcoming NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026.

The new flagship electric SUV will join the BE 6 and XEV 9e, both of which are already available in the Nepalese market. As Mahindra's largest electric SUV to date, the XEV 9S also becomes the brand's first dedicated three-row EV.

While it shares a similar silhouette with the XUV700, the XEV 9S adopts a distinct electric vehicle identity. It features a closed-off front grille with a full-width LED light bar, vertically stacked LED headlamps, flush-fitting door handles, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and L-shaped LED tail lamps at the rear.

Mahindra offers the XEV 9S with 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh battery packs, producing between 228 hp and 282 hp, while all variants generate 380 Nm of torque.

Performance is equally impressive, with the electric SUV capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 7 to 7.9 seconds, depending on the variant. Top speed is rated at 202 km/h, while support for 175 kW DC fast charging allows significantly shorter charging times.

Inside, the XEV 9S features a technology-focused cabin with a triple-screen dashboard integrating the driver's display, infotainment system, and front passenger display.

The SUV also offers Everyday, Race, Range, and Snow drive modes, along with five levels of regenerative braking to suit different driving conditions.

Safety remains one of the XEV 9S's biggest strengths. It comes equipped with seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, AutoPark assist, and Mahindra's Eyedentity driver monitoring system with drowsiness detection. The Secure360 Pro system further enhances security by providing live camera feeds and two-way communication.
